And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light (Genesis 1:3).

He spoke, and it was.

I like that.

God didn’t go tinker around in his celestial workshop and figure out light.

God didn’t get out his Big Book of Useful Elements and look up the formula for light.

God didn’t google light.

He said, “Hey, Light…Be”

Or something like that.

Here’s something to chew on, just to keep your Thursday interesting.  Jesus is the Word of God, ya?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

Jesus also calls himself the light of the world in John 8:12.

So…one aspect of Christ called forth another aspect of Christ into the universe

and into our lives

and eventually into our hearts.

I think my brain just exploded.  But in a good way.
