One-a-Day Wednesday, 4/29/15

number 1And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters…So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it.  And it was so.  God called the expanse “sky.”  And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day (Genesis 1:6-8).

Today is International Sky Day. You are required to look up all day long, and to say, “Wow, lookadatsky!” once per hour.

I just made that up, but I’m going to stick with it.

Think about it.  God spent a whole day on the sky.  Given what he can do with just a word, an entire day seems pretty significant.  So whenever you do look up today, consider what you’re seeing.  The blue expanse, or the stormy gray, or the cotton ball clouds, or the smoggy sunset—God created that.

OK, we made the smog…but God made it pretty.

And by the way…he made it for you.

His Beloved.

And it’s not even your birthday.

  1. Oh yes…we Texans know all about the sky.

Mine is a beautiful blue today…but it was full of gorgeous gray clouds yesterday. A wonderful gift. The Heavens truly declare the glory.

    Thanks for the reminder.
