“Expel the wicked man from among you.”  (1 Corinthians 5:13b).

But I thought we were supposed to be all about love!

This doesn’t sound very loving, does it?

Remember when Paul was talking about handing a sinner over to Satan?

Nope, it didn’t sound loving then either.

At least, not at first.

But which is more loving, Beloved?

To allow someone to continue to live in sin, moving farther and farther from God, taking the impressionable with them

or 

to cut them out, protecting your flock and, maybe, hopefully, bringing the sinner to repentance? 

Love can look a little funny sometimes.
